Friends of Brislington Brook

Friends of Brislington Brook is a group of volunteers that cares for Nightingale Valley and St. Anne’s Woods in East Bristol. Brislington Brook runs through both nature reserves before flowing into the River Avon.

We work to protect local wildlife and encourage the community to use these valuable natural spaces in the heart of the city.

Upcoming events

Following last year’s success, we are running another Bioblitz in St Anne’s Woods! Join us for 24 hours of recording every species we see in the woodland, along with a series of guided walks and workshops planned throughout the day. Keep an eye on this space as we will be announcing our timetable soon.

Wildlife

Nightingale Valley and St Anne’s Woods are home to a rich variety of plants, wildlife, birds and insects. Find out about our conservation projects and how you can help.

Join us!

We run regular volunteer sessions in St Anne’s Woods and Nightingale Valley. They’re a great way to get out into the parks, do some good and make new friends along the way!
