Clean up your act!
Not only is the Brislington Brook incredibly biodiverse but it ranks, sadly, as South Bristol’s most polluted waterway. Campaigns are afoot.
So at the start of June, Jackie and Claire led a group of FoBBers to meet with local Councillors Andrew Varney and Tim Kent to begin exploring options on how best to make a case for improvements.
With an “outfall safari” (it sounds more glamorous than it is!) lined up for the future the plan is to track down visual evidence of the issues and use that to try and leverage some positive action.

Just a couple of days ago, there was another incident of sewage dumped in the brook. If you witness something similar, please report to the Environmental Agency.
